Retaining walls are critical structural elements that control erosion, create usable terraced spaces, and protect properties from soil movement — especially important in Washington’s hilly terrain and wet climate. Westerly Ventures builds retaining walls engineered for the unique challenges of Pacific Northwest soil and weather conditions.

We construct gravity walls, cantilever walls, and segmental retaining wall (SRW) systems using poured concrete, concrete blocks, and engineered modular systems. Every wall we build includes proper drainage with perforated pipe and gravel backfill to prevent hydrostatic pressure buildup that can cause failures.

Our retaining walls serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. We integrate landscape terracing, planting areas, built-in lighting, and decorative finishes that turn a structural necessity into a beautiful landscape feature. For walls over 4 feet, we work with licensed structural engineers to ensure full code compliance.
